Cookie Policy

Which cookies and similar technologies the GSynq Digital Studio website uses (very few), why, and how you can control them.

This policy explains how the GSynq Digital Studio website uses cookies and similar technologies. The short version: Google Analytics cookies are set only if you allow them in our cookie banner, and the website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. The only other third-party content that may set its own cookies is the Google Map on our Contact page.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage and session storage, also save small pieces of data in the browser. They can remember your choices, keep you signed in or, on many websites, track your visits. This policy covers all of them.

What this website uses

When you visit the website, our own code sets no cookies. It saves two small items in your browser’s storage:

NameTypePurposeDuration
gsynqConsentLocal storage, strictly necessaryRemembers your choice in the cookie banner (allow or reject analytics cookies), so the banner does not ask you again on every page.12 months, then we ask again
gsynqPreloadedSession storage, strictly necessaryRemembers that the short intro animation on the home page has already played, so it does not play again every time you return to the home page.Until you close the browser tab

Our team members who sign in to manage the website receive WordPress’s standard sign-in cookies (such as wordpress_logged_in_… and wp-settings-…). They are needed to sign in and are never set for visitors.

Third-party cookies

Some pages show content from other services, which may set their own cookies. We do not control them:

  • Google Maps: the Contact page embeds a Google Map of our studio. Google may set cookies when the map loads, as described in Google’s cookie information and privacy policy.
  • Social media: our links to social profiles are plain links. The platforms set cookies only if you follow a link to their websites.

Our hosting provider, Hostinger, delivers the website through its content delivery network and loads a script from its own servers as part of its WordPress tools. At the time of writing, neither sets cookies for visitors to this website.

We use Google Analytics, a service of Google, to count visits and see which pages help our visitors. Its cookies are set only after you choose “Allow analytics” in the cookie banner:

NameProviderPurposeDuration
_gaGoogle AnalyticsTells visits from the same browser apart with a random ID, so visitors are not counted twice.2 years
_ga_<ID>Google AnalyticsKeeps track of the current visit.2 years

Until you choose, and if you choose “Reject”, Google Analytics sets no cookies. The website uses Google’s Consent Mode, so Google’s tag still receives limited signals without cookies, such as that a page was viewed. Google explains how it uses this information in How Google uses information from sites that use its services and in its privacy policy. We have turned off Google’s optional data-sharing settings.

We do not use advertising cookies or pixels (such as those of Meta or LinkedIn). If we add them in future, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent before they are set.

How to control cookies

You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. If you reject analytics after allowing it, the website deletes the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.

You can also block or delete cookies and other site data in your browser settings. Doing so does not affect how this website works for visitors. Your browser’s help pages explain how:

Changes to this policy

We update this policy whenever the technologies the website uses change. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
